Jiffy Lube Live Tailgating Ban
I like to go to concerts for the most part. Once of my favorite parts of a concert is the tailgating (aka tailgate party). I typically go to about 2 concerts a year at Jiffy Lube Live (formerly known as Nissan Pavilion) in Bristow, Virginia. Even though the traffic is always bad, the fun would trump that minor drawback.
I purchased two very premium tickets to an upcoming concert at Jiffy Lube Live a few weeks ago. After I purchased these tickets I found out about a ban on tailgating by Jiffy Lube Live management, which I believe is Live Nation. They claim that the ban on tailgate partying is to cut down on driving under the influence of alcohol. Let’s be honest, its not that at all, its to drive the alcohol sales inside the venue.
I Don’t Care Who is Responsible for the Tailgating Ban at Jiffy Lube Live…
Due to the tailgating ban at Jiffy Lube Live, after the concert later this summer that I have already purchased tickets for, I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I hope that many from Live Nation, Jiffy Lube Live and Jiffy Lube Corporate read this. I will never go back to that place and, because there is naming rights relations here, I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO A JIFFY LUBE AGAIN.
Sorry guys, this is a major mistake and I am done with all of you. I will travel out of town for my concerts from now on. Congratulations on this fantastic corporate decision to “spike” venue alcohol sales.
